"How to Make Fondant Zebra Cake"

Zebra cake is my daughters favorite cake. She always orders it for her birthday. So, this year I decided to decorate is as a zebra pattern. I am sharing with you guys, how I made it.

Zebra cake recipe
Fondant   (white and black)

Chocolate ganache:
(200 gr dark chocolate with 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream and 2 tbs irish cream liquor optional) Bring whipping cream to a boil and add the chocolate pieces and whisk until it's all melted. Refrigerate overnight.

To make zebra pattern dough, pour 1-2 tbsp of each color until it's all gone. Divide between   2, 9 in circle baking pans.
For the best results slice each cake in half lengthwise. It will make 4 layers.
I made the bottom layer cake of 2 packages of Rice Krispies.
Cover the zebra cake with chocolate ganache. Keep it refrigerated.
Roll out the black fondant and cut all kinds of strips.
Roll out the white fondant on the mat and arrange the black stripes on it.
Use parchment paper to roll over the fondant gently.
Then turn over the fondant on the zebra side down.
and carefully transfer it to the cake.
Enjoy!!!

  2. Wow! Beautiful job! I was wondering what other kinds of cakes I can bake and cover with fondant? Can I cover a layered cake like Medovik or Spartak?
