Russian Cheese Cake (Zapekanka)

 This recipe is really delicious. For people who love ricotta cheese (Tvorog), this is the perfect recipe.

        Ingredients:  
900gr Ricotta or Tvorog
6 eggs
9 tablespoons Cream of wheat (Manna)
1 cup Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
Sweet condensed milk for topping 


Separate egg whites and mix for 10 min until fluffy. Put it in another bowl.
Mix egg yolks with sugar for few min.

Put tvorog, vanilla, cream of wheat.  
Mix well.
Carefully fold in egg whites.
Put in the 13 by 9 baking dish.
Bake on 300F for 1 hour.










Pour sweet condensed milk on the top.

  5. i am almost in tears.. I have been looking for a recipe for years for this... I got it from my dearest friend in Ukraine... and I couldn't translate it.. now I am making it for us for breakfast which is what my dear Vera would do for us for breakfast... So thankful to you Leascooking!!!
