This rich, creamy twist on traditional Chicken Plov. This rice is my kids favorite dish. It's like a different version of Plov, with a creamy texture. We really love it.
Ingredients:
1 lbs cooked chicken
3 cups cooked rice
1 small onion
4 carrots
1.5 cups whipping cream
Salt, Pepper
Cup onion into small cubes.
Shred carrots.
Saute in oil until golden brown.
I cut chicken into very small pieces. Or boiled chicken can be ground. Before I put it in; I saute it in the butter for a few min until it gets golden. Put meat in the baking dish.
Add onion with carrots on top.
Whip whipping cream.
Add fully cooked rice (I added half teaspoon turmeric in mine to make it yellow)
Put cream on top of rice.
Cover and bake for 30 min on 350F.
It should look like this. Mix it before serving.
Enjoy!!!

What kind of rice do you use?
ReplyDeleteI used sushi rice this time but I really like Jasmine for this dish.
DeleteThanks✿✿✿
Thank you for the fast reply. I've never tried sushi rice, looks really yummy though! I'll have to try that.
DeleteHave you ever tried 5 minute rice with this recipe?
DeleteNo, I haven't used 5 min rice for years. After I started using jasmine rice, 5 min rice did not taste as well.
DeleteCan you post Spartak cake?:)
ReplyDeleteI haven't made this cake before. But I will look for a good recipe.
DeleteThanks✿✿✿
Hi Lea. This looks so incredibly good. where would you put the salt and pepper and approximately how much? since nothing is mixed and cant taste it only after it is done, i am wondering how much to put
ReplyDeleteThanks
Well, when you cook rice add salt in the water. And when you cook meat put salt there. I never measure salt so I don't know how much salt I add:) Try rice when it's cooked if it has enough salt. Because you will need everything cooked before you put it in the oven.
DeleteI hope this helped:)))
